Not as good as they make out but like all things comes down to the installer.

On the product, our kitchen floor is scratched to fuck after 10 years and looking at replacement.

It was first to market but now there;s better alternative products out there at cheaper prices.

.... keep it out of strong sunlight and it’s fine though.

Re: Karndean Flooring
Depending on where you have it, It’s good stuff, I have it in my hall and living room.

I did have it in my conservatory but it doesn’t like sunlight - fades and shrinks badly !!

My best pal is a ‘flooring engineer’ and he refuses to fit the stuff anymore due to the number of callbacks he was getting due to fade/shrink

I've never heard of Karndean as ceramics are all that's needed in hot climates.....but what is funny is two Liberal cunts slagging each other off

Also get the floor levelled, any decent filter will insist on it.

Re: Karndean Flooring
I’ve got Karndean and engineered in my house, both look excellent. Don’t go for engineered in a kitchen or bathroom as if you get leak the engineered will blow like a Las Vegas prostitute.
Hence why I got Karndean, I got basket weave and it looks the nuts, recommended.

Re: Karndean Flooring
Forget Karndean and look at Amtico. Looks much more realistic and much more choices of wood or stone effect. The Signature range Oaks look fantastic, especially if you're after an aged effect.
Avoid the cheaper LVT's altogether. They look plastic and every tile repeats every 6 planks or so which looks awful when fitted.

If you have floorboards you'll need a 6mm plywood fitted first, if it's concrete then a decent smoothing compound.

Will last forever if fitted properly and extremely low maintenance

If you do go for oak allow a couple of months for it to acclimatise and 15 % waste.

Do it. I had my place done. Only kitchen hall in karndean. The rest carpet. Screed the floors first and get a decent fellah to fit. Best ever. Looks great too. Go for a darker wood finish. Winner end of.

Re: Karndean Flooring
I'm thinking of getting some cushioned vinyl in my flat - it's an old building with concrete floors so anything laminate/wood isn't allowed under the terms of the lease.

I've had a look at Karndean but have also been recommended Forbo and another called Rhino...

I'm still not sure what to go for...
